Argentinian Tango Teachers

Argentinian Tango. Elegance and fascination, passion and connexion, this is the Argentine Tango, a dance of sensuous vibrations and rhythmical power.   
During these 5 days we will try to give you a taste of what Argentine Tango is all about - with 3 hours per day (morning and afternoon) - an international intensive seminar for the 1st time designed especially for beginners!!! Woman/man technique classes, first steps in tango, tango embrace, history of tango, attitude, connexion, etc


Need more? Salsa lessons are available, scuba-diving and sunrise yoga classes!!!(on the spot) And if this is not enough, we have one of the best photographers with us - ready to take shots and make your memories last for a lifetime!  Location

Gokceada Island, also known as Imbros (the island of winds), is one of the wildest island remained in Europe, beautiful and spectacular for its sunsets (for Romanians: a lot like Vama Veche years ago). 

The largest island in Turkey, Gokceada Island is part of Canakkale Province. It is located at the entrance of Saros Bay in the northern Aegean Sea, also the western most point of Turkey (Avlaka peninsula), with an area of 279 square km. 

Gokçeada is ringed with pristine bays. Its hills, covered with the greens of pine and olive trees, are dotted with sacred springs and monasteries. 

It's also known for its vineyards and a very good wine production. Small villages, rolling hills, pine forests, and craggy small mountains along with plenty of goats, sheep, chickens and cows along the way makes Gokceada Island to be the first organic island of Turkey.  

Regularly scheduled ferry boats make the trip from Çanakkale sea port and Kabatepe sea port of Gallipoli Peninsula . 
It takes about 2 hours and 15 minutes journey from Canakkale to Gokceada. On the other hand there are more frequent ferries from Kabatepe sea port of Gallipoli Peninsula which mainy run throughout all summer period.

Accommodation

There are two options of accommodation that we usually use - one is the CAMPING, with your own tents. It is possible to camp in almost any part of the island. Common sense requires camping considerably away from any house or public spaces in the villages, and more than considerably away from military property. If you want to be on the totally secure side, together with the rest of the group, there is also a campground in Aydıncık beach, which also has a little stall which offers basic necessities (5 euro/day) 


The second option is to stay in the hotel ADA http://www.ada-otel.com/ where the room costs 35 euro/day  - it is a new hotel, which has air-conditioned, TV satellite, internet wireless, hairdryer, 24 hours hot water. 


How to get there

Gokceada Island is 670 km far from Romania, Bucharest. We will drive (personal cars) to Eceabat and before arriving there we pass by ferry from Kabatepe - ferry price by car =  10 euro. Plus the gas - around 200 euro by car, which means 50 euro/person for a car of 4 people.


For international groups 
By boat

There are ferries from two points in the mainland: Kabatepe, which is on the western coasts of Gallipoli peninsula, or from the harbour of Çanakkale city. From Çanakkale, there is a ferry only once a day. Kabatepe has more voyages. The island is 11 nautical miles away from Kabatepe, while 32 nautical miles from Çanakkale (Çanakkale-Gökçeada voyage takes about three and a half hours). There are car ferries at both lines.

Ferries from both Kabatepe and Çanakkale arrive at Kuzulimanı Harbour on the island, which lies 4 km east of island capital (Merkez). Minibuses for Merkez, Yenibademli, and Kaleköy will be waiting just outside the jetty upon the arrival of the ferry.

Daily schedule of the ferries:

Kabatepe -Gokceada 8:30; 11:30; 14:30; 17:30; 20:30
Gokceada -Kabatepe 7:00; 10:00; 13:00; 16:00; 19:00

By car

It’s easier to get to Kabatepe port from Istanbul or Europe. It’s nearer, and you don’t need to get into (and wait in the queue for) the Dardanelles ferry (Eceabat-Çanakkale). You can reach Kabatepe by following “Kabatepe-Gökçeada” signs you will see on the highway (D550/E87/E90) after you have left Gelibolu/Gallipoli town about 40 km behind, before arriving in Eceabat.

By bus

When going by bus, the situation is the opposite of going by car. It is best to reach Çanakkale first, and to board the ship there, since it may be a bit hard for travellers without a vehicle to reach remote Kabatepe port. There are however direct busses to Gökceada from Istanbul Bus station that board the ferry and drive through to Gökceada town center.

Kite-surfing training

Kitesurfing or Kiteboarding is an adventure surface water sport that has been described as combining wakeboarding, windsurfing, surfing and paragliding into one sport. Kitesurfing harnesses the power of the wind to propel a rider across the water on a small surfboard or a kiteboard (similar to a wakeboard). The terms kiteboarding and kitesurfing are interchangeable. 

There are a number of different styles of kiteboarding, including freestyle (most common and utilises standard kite and board) or wake-style (flatter water using board with bindings) and wave-riding which is focused on big waves using a board designed for wave riding.

Kite-surfing classes will take place for 5 days, 2 hours per day, with one of the best training instructors in Turkey and Europe. The package costs 320 euro and includes equipment and training for 5 days. Of course you can rent equipment for the other 3-5 days left, to a discounted price.

Argentine Tango Classes

We will try to give you the taste of what Argentine tango really means, to give you the "addiction" to a wonderful world, which means more than just a dance - it means good hearted people, a great number of friends, international festivals, a lot of fun, joy and happiness, a lot of dancing, a lot of feelings and emotions.

One class on the fresh air of the mornings and one class in the afternoons - when it cools off, the sunset is there and it gets windy ... next to the beach ... At night, we organize milongas (tango parties) combined with salsa parties. 

The package costs 150 euros (10 classes), parties and milongas are on the house for the participants to the classes.

Private hours on request - 40 euro/hour.
